Orchestralosmosis

A project devised as part of the NCAD/UCD Urban Interventions module, Orchestralosmosis will take place on Chatham Row (off Grafton Street) tomorrow (Thursday 10th May) between 12 and 12:30. This intervention will involve the streaming and amplifying of music live from the D.I.T.’s Conservatory of Music and Drama. The sound of musicians’ practice sessions will be amplified into Chatham Row and Clarendon Row to create a kind of impromptu, un-choreographed street concert which is invisible to the eye but resonates through the space. Orchestralosmosis is by MA ACW participants Niamh O’Doherty and Laura Smith, in collaboration with UCD architecture student Becky Wallace. Further information here.

Niamh O’Doherty is a Donegal artist currently based in Dublin. O’Doherty moved from London in 2011, where she attained a First Class Honours in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art in June 2010. She’s currently enrolled in the Ma Art in the Contemporary World Course at NCAD.
