Emma Haugh in conversation with RGKSKSRG.

It starts with an invitation, a gentle, playful gesture asking to explore and connect, to inquire, to build body sculptures and wrestle with some thoughts and forces. It’s about pleasure and desire, pushing the boundaries of what we perceive as comfortable. Yet, it is not uncomfortable. It’s visual, it’s beyond constraints and moral hiccups.
This is the Dublin chapter of an on-going work ‘The Re-appropriation of sensuality’ developed by Emma Haugh in 2013 as part of her residency at the Joinery. It comprises of photographs, texts and collaboratively selected scripts, architectural body sculptures and inquisitive arrangements by Holly O’Brien and Aileen Murphy and a score produced by Faye Green.
