The Lecture Room, IMMA
This symposium opens with a public conversation between Jochen Gerz (one of Germany’s leading conceptual artists) and Declan Long (NCAD – MA, Art in the Contemporary World). Gerz’s works eliminate the boundaries between artist and spectator, and this discussion will be a special insight into the artist’s work. Speakers include; Söke Dinkla (DE), Marion Hohlfeldt (FR), Guido Meincke (DE), Phillippe Mesnard (FR), Jonathan Vickery (UK), Renate Petzinger (DE), Pat Cooke (IRL), Jenny Haughton (IRL) and Lisa Moran (IRL). Dr. Karen E. Till (NUI Maynooth) will moderate the event.
This is a collaboration between the Goethe – Institut and IMMA and is supported by the National College of Art and Design and the French Mission du Centenaire.
